Although
numbers of financial institutions have been established and
operating their services throughout the country, still majority
of population is out of reach of financial facilities even in
the urban society. Besides this people residing in rural
territories and below poverty line are almost isolated from this
service. These all indicate that there is still a huge demand of
such institutions which are honestly and responsibly committed
to cater services to rural and backward communities along with
activities of raising economic awareness. Realizing these all
our team decided to establish a development bank as per Nepal
Government has emphasized participation of private sector is
essential for overall economic growth of the Nation.
Hence, it gives us immense pleasure to announce that the bank we
are going to establish is “Nepal Community Development Bank
Limited” which is launching its business activities in Butwal, a
fast flourishing industrial and commercial city of western
Nepal, in the beginning.
A large chunk of credit of establishment of this bank in short
span of time goes to our promoters, directors, general public,
regulatory body and others whose uninterrupted effort has given
lives to our long cherished desire to serve the nation by
establishing a local development bank. Here, we would also like
to reiterate that the bank has a long vision to be a national
level commercial bank in near future. We would expect same type
of co-operation and confidence from all our shareholders,
regulators, general public, and customers who incepted this
vision.
As a bank, our motto is to provide fast, modern and efficient
service to our valued customers as well as to provide
justifiable return to our stakeholders. Presently we are
operating from Butwal and planning to expand its branch network
in different areas of approved district gradually on the basis
of viability of the branch and on demand of our valued customer.
In today’s competitive banking market it is definitely a huge
challenge to operate a bank smoothly and give return to our
stakeholders, but I am confident that our team, present
strength, inclusion of promoters from diversified field,
business strategies, proposed innovative products etc will
certainly help us to maintain our status in the existing market.
